One guitar, full sound — bass, harmony and melody at once. No speakers to hide, no band to coordinate. Just warm, live music your guests will remember.
My YouTube channel (@Matt_Legler) holds my fingerstyle covers — direct covers of songs like “Déjà Vu,” “Ashes in the Sea,” and “A Hiding Place for the Moon,” recorded in their original keys. These days I perform everything in full/semi-baritone register for a deeper sound. One guitar carrying bass, harmony, and melody at once, in the lineage of players like Antoine Dufour and Trevor Gordon Hall. For weddings I cover your song the same way — faithful, learned note-for-note, voiced in baritone.
Two options, one rule: I play a maximum of 90 minutes total. Founding rate (first 5 weddings): $300 / $450 — full rate after: $400 / $600. Ceremonies are one continuous set — I retune between some songs (about 20 seconds) but never leave a gap in the music.
Prelude as guests arrive, processional, and recessional — cued live to your coordinator. My preferred set length.
The full arc — ceremony straight into cocktail hour, one continuous set. My absolute maximum playing time.
90 minutes is my hard cap — no receptions, no extra hours, no exceptions. Based in Colorado Springs; travel up to 3 hrs — Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, Pueblo, Salida. FAQ →

Both hands, no overdubs — this is what the technique looks like.

Note: these were recorded in their original keys — today I perform in baritone register, so your song gets the same treatment with a deeper voice. More recent clips live on Instagram @legler.exe.
My YouTube covers were recorded in their original keys. These days I perform everything in full/semi-baritone — lower, warmer, and more resonant than standard tuning. It fills a room the way a cello does.

Standard guitar can sound thin outdoors. Baritone tuning drops the voice of the instrument — processionals feel weightier, cocktail hour feels richer, and a single guitar carries the room without a PA working hard. It's the reason couples hire me instead of a playlist.

I've played 2 weddings (3rd reserved) after years of fingerstyle covers on YouTube. In exchange for the founding rate, I ask two things: an honest review with photos I can share, and permission to record one song at your ceremony for my portfolio. After 5 weddings, prices go to full rate.
“Déjà Vu” — covered in semi-baritone tuning for a deeper voice. Couples who want a non-traditional processional start here.
“Ashes in the Sea” — my oldest and most-watched upload (2015). Atmospheric, patient, and a good read on my tone.
“A Hiding Place for the Moon” — the quiet night-piece. If you want your cocktail hour to feel candlelit, start with this one.
